The Jinan National Logistics Hub for Commercial and Service Industries is a national-level key project, officially included in the national logistics hub development plan in 2020. It is developed and operated by Shandong Gaishi International Logistics Group, adopting a coordinated model that combines government guidance with enterprise-led investment and operation. Located in Jinan, a core city within the Shandong Peninsula urban cluster and a major comprehensive transportation hub in China, the project benefits from a strategic location that connects north–south economic corridors and links inland and coastal regions. With well-established railway, highway, and air transportation networks, it serves as a key node within the national logistics system.
Focusing on commercial and service-oriented logistics, the hub integrates multiple functional sectors, including smart warehousing, multimodal transportation, international logistics, transfer and distribution systems, as well as supply chain service platforms. Through a coordinated layout of core parks and supporting facilities, it forms an efficient operational structure capable of handling diversified logistics demands while supporting both domestic and international circulation. In large-scale logistics infrastructure such as this project, building materials are required to maintain stable performance under high-frequency operations, large-span structural conditions, and long-term environmental exposure.
Polyurethane material solutions are applied in key areas such as insulation systems, roofing structures, and wall panels, contributing to improved energy efficiency, optimized internal temperature control, and reduced long-term operational costs. At the same time, these materials enhance the durability and structural adaptability of the buildings, ensuring stable performance throughout the lifecycle of the logistics facilities. As part of the modern logistics framework of “corridor + hub + network”, the project plays an important role in improving regional logistics efficiency, strengthening supply chain connectivity, and supporting the coordinated development of the Yellow River Basin, ultimately contributing to the high-quality growth of the modern logistics industry.
