According to statistics from the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, in 2023, the scale of China's photovoltaic industry continued to expand. The output of major manufacturing segments such as polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells, and modules all increased by more than 64% year-on-year, with the total industry output value exceeding 1.75 trillion yuan. New photovoltaic installed capacity reached 216.88 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 148.1%. In terms of photovoltaic product exports, silicon wafer exports reached 70.3 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of over 93.6%; cell exports reached 39.3 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 65.5%; and module exports reached 211.7 gigawatts, a year-on-year increase of 37.9%. Currently, China's photovoltaic industry has become an important strategic emerging industry in China, capable of participating in international competition and reaching international leading levels, and has also become an important engine driving global energy transformation.
